Dear Neighbors
Winter/Spring 2025
This winter the climate has been varied; calm, snowy, freezing cold and lately it’s turned temperate again. Likely because of the cold, not much has been happening in the neighborhood this winter; but the PHIA board has been preparing a few activities for the Spring.
This year once again the PHIA, along with all neighbors wishing to take part, will be picking up the trash on our streets, April 26th in celebration of Earth Day. It would be great to see some new neighbors joining in and helping to clean up our Pleasant Hill Subdivision. Living in unincorporated Lake County, we don’t have street sweeper services for our streets, so we ourselves need to pick up trash on the streets. Please join us in the Park on Saturday, April 26th, at 10:00 a.m. to help keep our subdivision clean. If you can’t join us on that day, take a little time this Spring to clean up whatever trash might be in the street in front of your house. Every little bit helps.
The PHIA will again organize the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Weather permitting it will be held on April 12th, at 1:00 p.m. Bring your baskets & kids for Easter treats!!
And again, some reminders:
There is to be no parking on any street in the subdivision. This is a great safety problem, especially because we do not have sidewalks, and it’s difficult to see around a parked car in the street. You can receive a fine for parking in the street. By order of the County, no one is permitted to have a rooster, in our Subdivision. For more details you may review the County Website: https://www.lakecountyil.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2691/Keepng-Chickens-PDF
Kindly dispose of all your trash appropriately. This is especially evident in the Park, on and around the picnic tables, and in empty lots. There is no cleaning service for this. We all have to pitch in and do this. Kindly be respectful of all the property in our Subdivision. Also, keep your property in accordance with Lake County ordinances, grass and weeds cannot exceed 10 inches.
If you note a public nuisance call Lake County. The Lake County Public Nuisance phone number is: 847-377-8444.
For more detailed information you can access: www.pleasanthill-ia.com
To continue improving our subdivision, consider joining the PHIA as a paying member and/or offer your voluntary service to maintain, clean and improve Pleasant Hill Subdivision, the great neighborhood in which we live.
Here’s to a great 2025,
The PHIA Board
